Species II

"Species II" was the first successful photo lithograph I ever made. Though the image looks rather horrific the idea behind it was to blend animal and human to show that all creatures share common feelings, origins and rights of existence. The back ground image was photographed at UCL's (University College London) Zoology department's Bone Museum. A wonderfully old Victorian collection that is very accessible within the college! This work was printed at the Slade School of Fine Art, London, as part of my degree course in 1991. The model for this print can also be seen as the swimmer in "A Blind Faith in Our Own Biology". This print is in the collection of The Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, London.

H 18" X W 24" - "Species II" - $ 400
